Thern 2W40-M Worm Gear Hand Winch – 4,600 lb Pulling Capacity
The Thern 2W40-M is the highest-capacity worm gear hand winch in its class, designed for horizontal pulling applications only. Rated at 4,600 lbs, it features heavy-duty enclosed gearing, a large-drum design, and bronze worm gears for smooth, quiet operation. Like the 4WM2, the 2W40-M can also be powered by a hand crank or a portable drill, making it efficient for long pulls where manual cranking would be too time-consuming.

- Load rating: 4,600 lbs – pulling only (not rated for lifting)
- Gear ratio: 32:1 for maximum control
- Drum capacity: up to 200 ft of 5/16" or 3/8" wire rope
- Force to pull 1,000 lbs: approx. 14 lbs
- Drill-drivable design – compatible with portable drill (max 400 RPM) for faster operation
- Bronze worm gears reduce noise and extend gear life
- Enclosed oil bath gearbox minimizes wear and maintenance
