Zinc-Plated Lap Links are low-grade connectors designed for light-duty chain repair and attachment applications. Similar to Cold Shuts, Lap Links are slipped through a chain link and then pressed shut using a hammer, vice, or other common tools. This simple and effective installation method makes them ideal for quick repairs in non-critical, non-lifting applications. Available in sizes from 3/16" to 1/2", with working load limits (WLL) ranging from 240 to 1,525 lbs, Lap Links provide a secure but non-load-bearing connection for general utility and tie-down applications. Not suitable for overhead lifting or safety-critical uses.
