Ulven #110 Flush Pin Shackles
The flush pin shackle is yet another specialty logging shackle. It's design makes it smooth and relatively snag free, and the pin is tightened with a standard 1/2" drive socket wrench. According to OR OSHA, a flush pin, straight-sided shackle must be used to connect the eyes of lines if: (a) The shackle will be crossed by a sheave, or (b) A sheave will be crossed by the shackle. It is made from hand forged alloy steel, right here in Oregon. The strength-to-weight ratio on these shackles is very impressive, and they hold up well in logging applications.
