Crosby A-1329 Eye Foundry Hooks
Foundry hooks are unique because they offer an exceptionally wide throat opening which makes them capable of fitting around many large objects that standard slings hooks simply cannot accommodate. They are also somewhat controversial because they do not feature a safety latch, yet they are made and designed for overhead lifting with Grade 100 and/or Grade 80 chain slings. From our conversations with OR-OSHA field personnel, this is acceptable. Just make sure to follow the Working Load Limits and use limitations provided by the manufacturer. Made from forged alloy steel, Quenched and Tempered, load-rated. Individually proof-tested to 2-1/2 times the Working Load Limit with certification. Product Identification Code (PIC) for material traceability, along with the size and the name Crosby. Fatigue rated at 1-1/2 times the Working Load Limit at 20,000 cycles. Safety factor of 4:1.
