The Crosby S-421T Terminator® Wedge Socket is a high-performance wire rope termination system designed for superior efficiency, strength, and safety in lifting and rigging applications. Engineered for wire rope sizes from 3/8" to 1-1/4", these wedge sockets provide an 80% termination efficiency based on the wire rope's catalog strength. The cast steel socket body is magnetic particle inspected for quality assurance, while the patented Terminator® wedge design eliminates tail fatigue and secures the dead end without deformation. These sockets meet or exceed ASME B30.26, Federal Specification RR-S-550F Type C, and EN 13411-6 standards, ensuring compliance with the most stringent industry requirements. The QUIC-CHECK® “Go” and “No-Go” feature simplifies installation, preventing the use of improperly sized wire ropes. When properly assembled, the first applied load fully seats the wedge, ensuring a secure and reliable connection.
