Steel Core Fliplines & Adjusters
If you're in the market for a new flipline, or a complete flipline kit with a mechanical adjuster and carabiner, we have you covered. We offer the best, most popular brands on the market like USR, Yale Cordage and Petzl. For those on a budget, the USR brand is proven quality at an affordable price. We've sold hundreds, maybe thousands of their fliplines over the years and we've never seen a failure or significant manufacturing defect. One step up would be the Yale Cordage fliplines in their various Maxi-Flip models. Their fliplines feature a spliced cable eye, rather than a swaged eye. This results in a "Free Flex" movement for the cable, meaning it's not bending and pinching due to the swage sleeve, and should result in longer service life. We also have a good assortment of flipline adjusters, including mechanical devices such as the Gibbs 4SB and hip prusiks made from heat-resistant materials.
Work Positioning Lanyards
We also offer a variety of work positioning lanyards, without a steel core, that allow you to set your work point in the tree and maintain a comfortable working position, especially on long reaches. A little extra stability can go a long ways toward worker safety, and workers that feel safe produce at a higher rate! One of our most popular options is the All Gear 4-8ft Adjustable Rope Lanyard. It comes in a hi-vis orange color and features durable, steel snap hooks at both ends. Another popular option is the new Trimmer Lanyard from Pelican. It features Kong's slim and super-ergonomic mechanical adjuster installed on durable kernmantle rope. The whole assembly is lightweight, easy to use and more affordable than other popular options, such as the Petzl Grillon.
Fall Protection Lanyards
Aside from dedicated arborist gear, such as fliplines, we have a large base of customers that need general fall protection gear, including lanyards. Also with bucket trucks becoming more and more prevalent, we have arborist customers that use a shock absorbing lanyard quite often. No matter what kind of lanyard you need, we have a wide selection. For a basic 6 foot shock absorbing lanyard, check out the FallTech 8240 ElasTech Lanyard. It stretches with your movement from 4.5 - 6 feet, meaning it stays away from your feet so it's not a trip hazard, but it gives you the stretch you need for longer reaches.
