SOF = Single Leg + Oblong Master Link + Foundry Hook
Our Grade 100 SOF chain slings are built with a durable single-leg alloy chain assembly featuring an oblong master link on top and an open-style foundry hook on the working end. Designed for overhead lifting applications involving large or irregular shapes, this configuration is ideal for situations where standard hooks cannot accommodate the load. Foundry hooks are engineered with exceptionally wide throat openings and intentionally do not include safety latches, allowing them to easily engage around larger diameter objects. The oblong master link ensures proper seating in the crane hook, while the heavy-duty foundry hook provides a simple, effective connection point for specialized lifting scenarios. Manufactured from high-strength Grade 100 alloy components and assembled in-house, SOF slings offer a reliable solution for demanding applications requiring maximum hook opening and flexibility.
