These hooks are designed specifically to work with utility trucks using synthetic winch ropes (commonly called digger derricks). They feature a spool and shield design that has three main benefits. It protects the rope, keep the rope positioned correctly on the spool and creates more surface area contract for better load distribution and less abrasion. In the end, your spliced rope eye will last longer with a hook like this. Made from forged alloy steel, Quenched and Tempered. Safety latches available. Can be proof-tested to twice the working load limit (inquire at time of order). Safety factor of 5:1.
