Crosby G-429 Fist Grip® Wire Rope Clips – Secure & Easy Installation
Crosby G-429 Fist Grip® Wire Rope Clips are designed for heavy-duty wire rope terminations in rigging, tensioning, and securing applications. Unlike traditional U-bolt-style clips (such as the Crosby G-450), Fist Grip® Clips cannot be installed upside down, ensuring proper orientation every time. The newer design applies to sizes 3/16” through 5/8”, while sizes 3/4” through 1-1/2” retain the original design. These clips feature a galvanized finish for corrosion resistance and forged steel saddles for superior strength. Bolts are an integral part of the saddle, and the nuts can be positioned to allow the operator to swing a wrench in a full arc for faster installation. They offer 80% efficiency for wire rope sizes 3/16” through 7/8” and 90% efficiency for sizes 1” through 1-1/2”, based on the catalog breaking strength of wire rope. Each clip is individually tagged with application instructions and meets or exceeds ASME B30.26 standards, ensuring material traceability, fatigue resistance, and impact durability for reliable performance in demanding environments.
