Popular Climbing Ropes
Pelican Rope products several popular climbing ropes that sell very well into the arborist markets. For example, their Blue & White 16-Strand climbing rope is a full 1/2" diameter. It is a high-strength composite braid with a tough 16-strand braided chemical-resistant polyester cover over a non-rotation nylon parallel core. It's a smooth running rope that resists abrasion quite well, and is priced right. This rope is also available in other color combinations below, including TigerLine, which is a sharp-looking high-visibility option.
With the trend toward smaller diameter climbing lines, Pelican introduced a more compact 7/16" 24-Strand Climbing Rope a few years back. The yellow and black color scheme is quite visible and unique. The rope features a double-ply braid with a chemical-resistant polyester cover over a nylon core. This rope runs very smoothly over rings and sheaves and costs a lot less than similar ropes by other manufacturers.
Matador Bull Rope
One of the most popular arborist rigging ropes we offer is Pelican's Matador Bull Rope. It has been around for many years and the proven design has our customers coming back to this rope time and again. Matador was designed as an arborist rigging line, with a polyester cover over a nylon core. The outer jacket and core of this rope work together to provide strength and energy absorption. A urethane coating also helps to keep out contaminants and prolong the lifespan of the rope. The most popular size is 1/2" Green (MBS 10,000 lbs), as it's big enough for most small jobs and affordable. But the sales are close, and the larger 5/8" Orange (MBS 16,000 lbs) does not lag far behind.
