This fitting, the MGD, represents a new and better way! It combines several components into one smooth design. This link has an open area to serve the duties of a traditional master link, and it's large enough to accommodate most appropriately-sized crane hooks. It also has dual chain pockets to allow for adjustment of both sling legs. Lastly, both sling legs connect directly to it using the included clevis pins. That means you can bypass several fittings that were required just a few years ago. This is the best, no-mess, no-fuss way of building an adjustable two leg chain sling!
