6x36 Class Bright Wire Rope
Although not as common as 6x19 class wire rope, 6x36 class wire rope is still considered general purpose. It's really about flexibility and fatigue resistance, the two real benefits of this construction. There are more wires per strand, which means the outer wires are smaller. This results in less resistance to abrasion. That's the real trade-off...you gain flexibility and bending fatigue tolerance while giving up some overall durability. It is still used for slings, winch lines and even crane lines. It performs well when bending over and around sheaves, and also conforms well to hug loads (it's what Log Truck Wrappers are made of). Available for purchase by the foot, with automatic quantity price breaks; the more you buy, the more you save per foot. Would you like to place a large order, or do you have a question?
