Crosby US-422T Utility Wedge Sockets
Crosby Utility Wedge Sockets have an efficiency rating of 80% based on the catalog strength of XXIP wire rope. They are magnetic particle inspected and satisfy all applicable ASME requirements. By simply changing out the wedge, each socket can be used for various sizes of wire rope (ensure correct wedge is used for wire rope size). Cast into each wedge is the model number of the socket and the wire line size for which the wedge is to be used. A hammer pad is built into the socket to assist in proper securement / termination. Most sizes now incorporate the newer Terminator wedge (the exact socket you receive may vary from the image shown here). The Terminator wedge eliminates the need for an extra piece of wire rope for installation.
