Rigguy Wire Stops® – Secure, Low-Profile Tree Cabling Solutions
Rigguy Wire Stops® offer arborists a streamlined and efficient method for tree cabling, eliminating the need for traditional hardware like J-hooks, lags, or thimbles. These compact devices are designed for use with Extra High Strength (EHS) strands ranging from 3/16" to 3/8" in diameter, ensuring versatility across various applications. The system comprises two main components: a 6061 aluminum block and a 416 stainless steel taper, which work together to securely anchor the cable by wedging the strand within the block. This design maintains nearly 100% of the strand's breaking strength, with the 3/8" EHS strand capable of withstanding forces exceeding 15,000 pounds. Installation requires drilling a hole through the limb or trunk, threading the cable, and securing it with the Wire Stop®, resulting in a discreet and durable support system that allows the tree to grow naturally around the cable without the risk of girdling.
