Cablelaid Wire Rope
The Most Flexible Wire Rope Available!
Cablelaid is a specialty wire rope that is essentially smaller diameter wire rope strands braided together--in other words, it's multiple wire rope constructed laid together to make one finished wire rope. The technical callout is 7x7x7, but when you look at the cross section you can see it's six strands wrapped around one center core, all of which have the same construction. This wire rope is ideal for those that need maximum flexibility and resistance to kinking. This type of wire rope runs well over sheaves and is popular for sling use where customers need the wire rope to really bend and form to the shape of their load. For example, one of our customers that loves Cablelaid is a truss contractor, and they have us make slings in 3/8" diameter. They feel the cable is very easy to use and bites well, due to its inherent flexibility. In fact, if you hold this cable in hand and wave it around, you'll find it's like a wet noodle comparied to traditional 6x19 class wire rope. Available for purchase by the foot, with automatic quantity price breaks; the more you buy, the more you save per foot.
