Van Beest G-4163H Catch Shackle – Drop-Safe Rigging for Maximum Safety

The Van Beest G-4163H Catch Shackle is engineered to prevent dropped objects, reducing the risk of injuries and fatalities in lifting and rigging operations. Available in sizes from 1/2" to 1-1/8" with a working load limit (WLL) from 2 to 9.5 tons, this innovative shackle ensures all components—including the bow, pin, nut, and cotter pin—remain securely tethered using any standard lanyard system. Co-developed with the DROPS organization, it supports all types of tethering methods to enhance workplace safety. Made from high-tensile Grade 6 steel, quenched and tempered, the shackle meets EN 13889 standards, complies with ASME B30.26, and fulfills US Fed. Spec. RR-C-271, Type IVA, Class 3, Grade A requirements. Featuring a 6:1 safety factor, a hot-dip galvanized finish for corrosion resistance, and an operating temperature range of -40°F to 392°F (-40°C to +200°C), the Green Pin® Catch Shackle BN is built for demanding industrial applications where safety is the top priority.
