1x7 EHS Galvanized Cable – High-Strength Cable for Guying Applications

Our 1x7 Extra High Strength (EHS) Galvanized Cable is a stiff, low-stretch cable designed for tower and tree guying, structural bracing, and other tensioning applications. Made up of seven tightly wound galvanized wires, this cable provides exceptional tensile strength and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for long-term outdoor installations. It is commonly used in conjunction with Big-Grips, turnbuckles, and similar rigging hardware to stabilize poles, antennas, and other structures. At 3/4" diameter, the construction changes to 1x19, as a 1x7 construction at this size would be impractical and too difficult to work with. Available in sizes from 1/4" to 3/4", with a breaking strength range of 6,650 to 58,300 lbs, this cable is not designed for slings, chokers, or general lifting applications and requires special handling due to its stiffness. Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A 475, it meets industry standards for high-strength tensioning applications.
