Product Description
Pewag 9/32" (7mm) Security Chain – Sold by the Foot (Custom Lengths) | #21148
The Pewag 9/32" (7mm) Security Chain is the smallest and lightest security chain in the Pewag lineup, offering real theft deterrence in a compact, highly portable form. It’s an excellent choice when mobility and ease of handling matter as much as security.
Each square link is case-hardened to deliver strong resistance to cutting and prying attacks. The tapered square-link profile makes it difficult for bolt cutters to get a clean bite, while the lighter weight keeps it practical for everyday use.
- Chain size: 9/32" (7mm) square-link hardened steel
- Hardness: 62 HRC surface / 49 HRC core, case-hardened to 10% depth
- Weight: Approx. 0.75 lbs per foot
- Sold by the foot: Custom lengths up to 100 feet continuous
- Best matched lock: Viro 4228 armored padlock (sold separately)
Why choose Pewag 7mm security chain?
This chain delivers an excellent balance of portability and protection. It’s compact enough for everyday carry while still providing serious resistance to common theft tools.

- Square-link design resists bolt cutters better than traditional round chain
- Custom lengths let you buy exactly what you need without extra bulk
