Product Description

Pewag 3/8" (10mm) Security Chain – Sold by the Foot for Custom Lengths

The Pewag 3/8" (10mm) Security Chain is a premium hardened square-link chain designed for maximum theft resistance while maintaining a balance of weight and manageability. Case-hardened and precision engineered, this chain is a favorite among customers who need serious security without the bulk of oversized chains.

With an impressive Rockwell hardness of 62 HRC on the surface (core hardness of 49 HRC) and case-hardened to 10% depth, the Pewag 10mm security chain is built to withstand cutting, grinding, and prying attacks. Its square-link design further reduces attack angles, making it highly resistant to bolt cutters.

At about 1.65 lbs per foot, it offers an ideal balance—lighter and easier to handle than the massive 12mm chain, yet significantly tougher than the smaller 7mm option. This size is often considered the "sweet spot" for real-world security, offering both serious protection and practical usability.

Key Features:

  • 3/8" (10mm) square-link hardened steel chain for high-level cut and pry resistance.
Surface hardness of 62 HRC, core hardness of 49 HRC, and case-hardened to 10% depth for superior protection against bolt cutters and saws.
  • Weighs approximately 1.65 lbs per foot—strong yet manageable for daily use.
  • Sold by the foot to create custom lengths up to 50 feet continuous—perfect for tailored security setups.
  • Square-link design helps prevent cutters and saw blades from gaining an effective grip.

Why Choose Pewag 10mm Security Chain?

  • The ideal balance of strength and portability—considered the "sweet spot" in the Pewag security lineup.
  • Perfect for motorcycles, ATVs, trailers, jobsite equipment, gates, and property security.
  • Custom lengths available—buy just what you need, up to 50 feet continuous.
  • Pairs best with the Viro 4126 armored padlock (sold separately), providing a perfectly matched, high-security combination.
  • Durable and built to last, whether used indoors or in harsh outdoor environments.

Note: Pewag security chain is intended for theft prevention and anti-theft applications only and is not rated for overhead lifting or load-bearing.
