Product Description
Double Braid Polyester Winch Line Assemblies – Pre-Spliced Double Eye (Utility Tugger / Digger Derrick)
The Double Braid Polyester Winch Line Assemblies are heavy-duty winch ropes built for big utility trucks used in pole-setting and high-force pulling — including digger derrick trucks, utility tuggers, and other line-construction winch applications. Constructed from double braid polyester, these assemblies deliver excellent strength, low stretch, and dependable performance in demanding field conditions.
Each stocked assembly is urethane coated for added abrasion resistance and is pre-spliced with an eye on each end for fast, field-ready setup. (Eye-splice winch lines are commonly used for attaching to hooks, links, and rigging hardware in utility pulling systems.)

Working Load & Important Safety Information
Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) values shown are average break strengths and are provided for comparison purposes only. They must not be used as Working Load Limits (WLL).
- A minimum 5:1 design factor is commonly recommended for general rigging and winch pulling operations unless otherwise specified by regulation, engineering analysis, or site policy.
- Working Load Limit (WLL) should be calculated as: Minimum Breaking Strength ÷ Design Factor
- Final WLL must be determined by a qualified person familiar with the complete system and application.
- Always account for dynamic forces including shock loading, winch acceleration, line angle reductions, block efficiency, hardware ratings, and system angles.
- Use only appropriate hardware and connection methods rated for the intended pull.
Polyester Winch Line Considerations
- Double braid polyester has low stretch compared to nylon. Avoid sudden shock loading, as loads transfer more directly to hardware and anchor points.
- Avoid excessive heat buildup on the winch drum. Do not allow rope to slip under load.
- Glazing, hard spots, or fused fibers may indicate heat damage and require removal from service.
Inspection & Removal From Service
- Inspect before each use for cuts, abrasion, glazing, crushed fibers, pulled strands, or chemical damage.
- Remove from service if core fibers are visible, if significant diameter reduction is observed, or if structural damage is present.
- Remove from service if performance is questionable.
- This product is not intended for lifting or supporting personnel.
