Product Description
Crosby G-450 Wire Rope Clips — Red U-Bolt® Design
Overview: The Crosby G-450 is the industry’s most recognized wire rope clip, easily identified by its signature Red U-Bolt®. Often referred to simply as “Crosby Clips,” these fittings are trusted worldwide for forming load-bearing wire rope eyes and making end terminations. They meet or exceed ASME B30.26 requirements and include additional performance benefits such as fatigue resistance, impact toughness, and full material traceability.
Why Professionals Choose Crosby Clips: G-450 clips offer an efficiency rating of 80% for sizes 1/8" through 7/8" and 90% for sizes 1" through 3-1/2", based on the catalog breaking strength of the wire rope. Each forged base is clearly marked with the Crosby name or “CG,” the size, and a unique Product Identification Code (PIC) for traceability. The entire clip is galvanized for corrosion resistance, and sizes up to 1-1/2" feature rolled threads for added durability.
Compliance & Quality: All Crosby G-450 clips are individually bagged or tagged with proper application instructions and warning information. They meet or exceed ASME B30.26 requirements for identification, ductility, design factor, proof load, and temperature performance — along with other key properties not covered by the standard.
