Whether you're involved in construction, marine operations, or general industrial projects, Crosby wire rope clips provide secure connections, peace of mind, and exceptional durability. They are manufactured using forged steel, which provides excellent load-bearing capacity and resistance to wear, corrosion, and fatigue. The quality materials used in Crosby wire rope clips make them suitable for demanding environments and heavy-duty applications, ensuring strength and durability. There are two main types of Crosby wire rope clips:
G-450 Wire Rope Clips: Crosby has designed the G-450 wire rope clips with a special geometry that maximizes their holding power. The unique design ensures a tight and secure grip on the wire rope, minimizing the chances of slippage or movement. This enhanced holding power provides added reliability and safety in applications where a secure connection is crucial. They are commonly used in construction, rigging, marine, and offshore applications as they offer a reliable and secure connection for a wide range of projects, providing versatility and peace of mind.
G-429 Fist-Grip® Wire Rope Clips: These clips feature two saddles instead of the traditional single saddle design. This unique configuration allows for a more secure and evenly distributed grip on the wire rope. By having two saddles instead of one, the pressure and forces exerted on the wire rope are distributed over a larger area. This increased load distribution reduces the risk of stress concentration and potential damage to the wire rope, enhancing its overall strength and durability. Unlike traditional wire rope clips with a single saddle, you cannot install Fist-Grip clips incorrectly. The old expression of "Never saddle a dead horse" does not apply, because you're working with two saddles. This simplifies things for those in the field and helps to prevent faulty installation.
