Product Description
Impact® Swaged Wire Rope – High-Density Compact Logging Cable
Impact® Swaged Wire Rope (also known as compact swaged) delivers the highest performance cable we offer for demanding logging applications. Built with the greatest linear density of any rope in our lineup, it weighs more per foot—and that added density is the key to its exceptional strength, abrasion resistance, and long service life.
Unlike standard swaged rope, Impact® wire rope is double compacted. Individual strands are compacted first, and then the entire rope is compacted again after closing. The result is an ultra-smooth outer surface, superior drum-crush resistance, and maximum durability in high-load environments.
- Double compacted construction – strands compacted individually, then rope compacted after closing
- Highest linear density available for maximum strength per diameter
- Smooth outer surface reduces snagging and abrasion
- Superior drum crushing resistance when spooled properly
- Stronger than regular swaged wire rope
- Material: Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) with Independent Wire Rope Center (IWRC)
- Mill certificates available upon request
Ideal for: skylines, skidding lines, droplines, and other high-tension logging applications where maximum durability and performance are required.
