Product Description

REID PortX Personnel & Material Lifting Winch for Davit and Gantry Systems

The REID PortX Winch (PTXW-20) is a compact, hand-operated wire rope winch designed for safe lifting and lowering of personnel and materials when used with compatible REID lifting systems. Built with a rugged steel housing and precision spur-gear transmission, this winch provides controlled lifting performance for applications such as confined space entry, rescue operations, work positioning, and light material handling.

The winch incorporates a load pressure brake that automatically holds the load securely at any height while allowing smooth, controlled lowering during operation. A free spool function allows the wire rope to be rapidly extended when the drum is unloaded, improving setup efficiency in the field.

Designed specifically for integration with REID lifting equipment such as PortaGantry, PortaDavit, and PortX Davit systems, the PortX winch provides a dependable manual lifting solution for job sites where reliability, safety, and portability are essential.

Key Features

  • Dual-purpose lifting capability rated for personnel lifting up to 310 lbs and material lifting up to 660 lbs
  • Integrated load pressure brake automatically holds the load securely at any height

  • Free spool drum function allows quick deployment of wire rope when unloaded
  • Adjustable and removable crank handle for flexible operation and transport
