Understanding Class 2 SRLs

Class 2 SRLs are designed for use when the anchorage point is at or below the worker’s dorsal D-ring. This configuration can lead to longer free fall distances and higher arrest forces, which is why Class 2 devices incorporate enhanced energy absorption to keep workers safe. Selecting the correct SRL class is critical for ensuring compliance and protection in elevated work environments.

Reliable, compact, and ANSI Class 2 compliant, the Palmer Safety MicroBEAST EDGE™ Twin SRL-P with Small Hook is engineered for sharp-edge hazards and exposed drop zones. Its lightweight build and rugged design make it the smart choice for crews working at height in demanding conditions.
