It certainly should be, yes. The key is installation, making sure it is anchored and tensioned properly.

Indeed we can. If you want just a standard loop on each end, simply add two of the following item to your cart before checking out: Labor & Material for 3/8" Steel Flemish Swage Sleeve. You can also leave messages in the comments box at checkout if you wish to provide further clarity/instruction.

We don't really know how the cable will be installed, tensioned and terminated, so we can't really give a straight answer and we suggest you check with a qualified contractor. That said, the Breaking Strength of this cable is over 14,000 lbs so we can only assume it will meet the challenge if properly used. As a point of reference, this is the same type of cable commonly used for zip lines and winching.

It's not a bad choice at all. 7x19 galvanized cable like this is used on winches all the time. In a perfect world, the drum would be 20x the wire rope diameter, but that's not very common. You should be good to go, just know it will not last forever, even in a fresh water environment.

Is this cable suitable for twisting action ? I am looking for something

along the lines of a flexible extension (hand tool). What is the

twisting load limit ?

Thank you

Generally speaking, no, you should not twist this cable and expect it to perform well. We are unable to calculate any sort of reduced strength rating due to said twisting action. If you have further questions, please call us @ 800-442-7454.
