Product Description
Lightweight and Colorful—But Not for Life-Support Climbing
The Petzl SPIRIT Bent Gate Carabiner is a premium non-locking aluminum carabiner built for smooth clipping and unclipping in sport climbing scenarios. With its ergonomic bent gate and Keylock nose, it’s easy to handle, snag-free, and incredibly lightweight at just 37 grams. Petzl promotes the SPIRIT as a go-to carabiner for single pitch, alpine, and ice climbing—however, because this is a non-locking model and we serve professional users working at height, we do not recommend it for climbing or fall protection.
Instead, this carabiner is best suited for accessory use: racking tools, managing gear on a harness, or organizing lines and rope ends. The bent gate design allows for efficient clipping, and the flat spine improves handling when gloved or pinch-gripping. It’s available in a variety of vibrant colors (gray, violet, green, red, yellow, or blue), making it easy to color-code gear or distinguish between setups at a glance.
