Product Description
Abus Has Arrived, By Popular Demand! Our customers love our security chain products, especially our comprehensive line of
Pewag Security Chain. And generally speaking, when Pewag partnered with Viro, the market reaction was very positive, as Viro has a great reputation as a fine Italian lock manufacturer. BUT, all that said, we were still seeing consistent demand from our customers for Abus padlocks. We brought in this particular padlock because it is very similar to the Viro locks, yet it works with security chain up to 14mm in size and comes at a great price!
What It IsThis is a true, high-security padlock that works well with larger security chains from 12-14mm in diameter. The lock body is made of solid brass with a steel jacket and the shackle is made from hardened alloy steel. The shackle measures 15/32" (0.47").
Why You Need ItBecause a good security chain is only as good as the lock you secure it with. This lock features a precision pin cylinder with drill and pull resistance, and a quality construction that offers protection from the weather--this lock can be used outside without hesitation.
How Big Is It?This lock is on the large side, very similar in size when compared to the
Viro #4153 and
Laclede Padlock. It feels solid in the hand and weighs about 1.76 lbs. It feels and looks intimidating, especially when paired with the right chain. And for the price it's hard to go wrong knowing you're getting a quality product from Abus, a German lock manufacturer known all over the world. We know you will be impressed!
How Secure Is It?Abus rates this lock an 8/10 for security!
