Product Description
The Thern RW50 Stainless Steel Cable Storage Drum is a durable and efficient solution for storing wire rope when detached from a crane. Made from 304 stainless steel, this drum is designed for long-term use in harsh environments and is listed as an official Thern crane accessory.
The RW50 is rated for 50 lbs capacity and is not intended for use as a winch. Minimal tension (up to 50 lbs) should be applied when winding to ensure proper spooling.
Wire Rope Capacity:
- 3/16" cable: up to 140 ft
- 1/4" cable: up to 75 ft
- 5/16" cable: up to 50 ft
Note: Actual capacity may be reduced by 25–30% due to non-uniform spooling.
Ideal for managing slack wire rope when the hook remains attached to a load or during crane downtime, the RW50 keeps cable organized and ready for the next lift.
Key Features:
- 304 stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance
- Rated capacity: 50 lbs
- Removes slack from crane wire rope when stored
- Accessory for Thern davit cranes
Note: Not to be used for lifting or pulling — storage use only.
