Rigging and safety gear purchased from Bishop Lifting should be used in strict accordance with all industry and OSHA standards. At no time should rigging or safety gear be used beyond its certified load ratings (aka Working Load Limits). Normal wear and tear should be expected with use of rigging and safety gear; therefore, all gear should be thoroughly inspected before each and every use. Worn or unsafe rigging and safety gear should never be used.
Made in the US shackles, visible working load and strong for its size. Only issues I've had are from manufacturing and not seller issues at all, very good 9/10. That being said, I've bought them for a more cosmetic approach and thus have suffered the slight working load weakening for it, they appear to be the same hot dip galv underneath as described. Do recommend that if you want black shackles for anything that I can describe as "Pocket Enduring" be careful, the coating on these either will come slightly chipped off (meaning I didn't notice it at first glance when obtaining) or become so from such conditions.
