Wanted a strong and reliable 3/8" rope for for pulling a heavy load up basement stairs on a skid. The breaking strength of this rope is more than 10x that of 3/8" nylon rope at the nearby hardware stores. The price is surprisingly only a little higher for this polyester rope. It seems like an excellent rope. I am not a climber, but I can say the rope performed well in my industrial type application.
