Product Description
Pelican Static Master™ Kernmantle Rope – Static Rappelling & Rescue Line (2WP Series)
The Pelican Static Master™ Kernmantle Rope is a low-stretch static line engineered for rappelling, rescue, and safety operations. Built with a durable polyester sheath (mantle) over a non-rotational parallel nylon core (kern), this rope delivers strength, abrasion resistance, and dependable performance in demanding environments.
Designed for controlled descent and technical applications, Static Master™ is especially popular with fire departments and rescue teams for its low elongation, excellent grip, and reliable handling.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does “static” mean?
Static ropes have low elongation under load, making them ideal for rappelling, rescue, and positioning applications where minimal stretch is required.
Is this rope suitable for dynamic climbing?
No. Static kernmantle rope is not designed for dynamic lead climbing. It is intended for controlled descent and rescue applications.
What is kernmantle construction?
“Kern” refers to the load-bearing core, and “mantle” refers to the protective outer sheath. This design maximizes strength and durability.
Important Safety Information
- Use only by trained and qualified personnel.
- Inspect rope before each use for cuts, abrasion, glazing, or core damage.
- Do not use static rope for dynamic lead climbing.
