Product Description

Yale Blue Moon 11.7mm Climbing Rope – XTC-24 Competition Arborist Line

The Yale Blue Moon 11.7mm is an innovative lightweight 24-carrier arborist climbing rope designed for peak performance in both MRS (Moving Rope System) and SRS/SRT climbing systems when paired with compatible hardware.

Built with Yale’s exclusive 24-strand Tite-Braid™ cover, Blue Moon virtually eliminates cover milking while maintaining a smooth, consistent surface that performs exceptionally well with mechanical ascenders and hitch tending systems. Its braided-filament polyester core delivers a firm rope structure that resists work hardening and provides long service life.

Pro Tip: Blue Moon’s true 11.7mm diameter gives climbers the lightweight handling of an 11mm rope with the fuller hand feel of a traditional 1/2" climbing line — making it one of the most versatile ropes in its class.

With minimal elongation and smooth mechanical interaction, Blue Moon is especially favored by climbers who prioritize precision, reduced bounce, and efficient ascension.
