Product Description
Ring Sliders & Sleeve Sliders for Logging
Ring Sliders and Sleeve Sliders are used on skidder winch lines to connect multiple choker hooks in a secure and efficient way. Both styles serve a similar purpose, but with one key difference: ring sliders have a larger opening and can move freely along the winch line, while the sleeve slider (sometimes called an end slider) has a smaller opening that keeps it from sliding off the end. When installing, ring sliders are placed on the line first, and the sleeve slider goes on last, against the ferrule or knob.
Because winch lines typically support multiple chokers, the line itself is larger than the chokers it carries. For example, it’s common for a winch line to be 5/8" or 3/4" in diameter, while the chokers attached to it are 1/2" or 9/16". Our sliders are designed specifically for this setup, ensuring dependable performance in the woods.
