This winch is powered by Honda's 4-stroke GX-35 cc engine. In addition to being extremely popular with hunters looking for a lightweight, compact tool, this model is also appreciated by occasional loggers. Weighing only 20 lbs, it offers 1600 lbs of pulling power in a single line pull. This unit is both efficient and easy to carry--you'll be equipped to retrieve your game, no matter the conditions.

The PCW3000 portable capstan winch should be used with 3/8" Double Braid Polyester Rope #PCA-1205M. If you need more than 164 ft for a longer pull distance, we do offer 3/8" Double Braid Polyester Rope in Bulk, where you can order up to 600 ft on one spool, giving you a tremendous combination of reach and pulling power. You can also use this rope with pulleys and anchor straps to increase or redirect line pull.

So Easy to Use!
The rope is tied to the object to be moved and wound 3-4 times around the capstan drum. When the engine is running, the capstan drum rotates continuously and the friction created by pulling on the free end of the rope pulls the object--this is referred to as back tension. You must apply back tension for the winch to work.
