Product Description

Pewag BWW Plate Hooks (Grade 100 Alloy Steel)

Pewag BWW Plate Hooks are purpose-built for lifting steel plate and similar loads. Their tall, deep throat opening makes them ideal for grabbing individual sheets as well as stacked materials—including steel, aluminum, and even timber—when used correctly with multi-leg chain slings.

These hooks connect easily using standard 2-piece coupling links and are engineered from high-strength Grade 100 alloy steel. For safety and stability, Pewag specifies that BWW Plate Hooks be used only on 3-leg or 4-leg chain slings, ensuring balanced load support during every lift.

Key Features

  • Designed specifically for lifting steel plate and stacked sheet materials
  • Generous, deep throat opening for improved engagement on thick or wide bundles
  • Compatible with standard two-piece coupling links
  • Made from high-strength Grade 100 alloy steel
  • Pewag recommends use with three- and four-leg chain slings only for proper load stability

Important

These hooks must be used with a 3-leg or 4-leg chain sling. When using a 3-leg sling, the allowable Working Load Limit (WLL) equals that of the corresponding 2-leg sling rating.
