Petzl Enhanced RAD System

The Petzl Enhanced RAD Kit (Rapid Ascent & Descent) builds on the simplicity and efficiency of the original RAD system—now upgraded with the Petzl RIG Descender for improved control and functionality. Popular among arborists, sailors, and rope access professionals, this system provides mechanical advantage for climbing and smooth, controlled descents once you've reached your working height.

To descend, simply remove the ascending components and deploy the RIG, which features a multi-function handle for easy speed control and hands-free positioning. Whether you're climbing trees, masts, towers, or other vertical structures, this system is lightweight, compact, and designed for ease of use. There are many videos online showing similar systems in use, but proper training is absolutely essential for safe operation.

What's Included:

• Petzl ASCENSION – Ergonomic handled rope clamp for efficient rope ascents. Designed for comfortable use with one or two hands.
• Petzl FOOTAPE – Adjustable webbing foot loop designed for use with ASCENSION or other compatible rope clamps.
• Petzl GO Quick Link – 7mm steel quick link with a 16mm gate opening. Rated to 25 kN breaking strength.
• Petzl FIXE Pulley – Compact, versatile pulley for rope redirection during ascent.
• Petzl RIG Descender – Features a multi-function handle for descent speed control and work positioning—no tie-off required. Ideal for rope access professionals.
• (2) Petzl Am'D Carabiners – Asymmetrical aluminum carabiners with a D-shape, designed for smooth compatibility with descenders, pulleys, and lanyards.

Note: This kit includes hardware only—saddle, climbing rope, and throw weights are not included, but can be added separately to build a complete SRT rope climbing system.
