Product Description
The Palmer Safety BEAST™ Series 30’ Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) with Small Hook is designed to provide reliable fall protection in demanding work environments. As a Class 1 SRL, it is specifically engineered for working at heights where the anchorage point is at or above the worker’s dorsal D-ring. It is crucial to understand the difference between Class 1 and Class 2 SRLs: while Class 2 SRLs are designed for applications where the anchorage is below the dorsal D-ring and may allow for greater free fall, Class 1 SRLs are strictly for use when the anchorage is above the D-ring to minimize fall distance and arrest forces.
Housing Handle Options: The BEAST™ SRL housing is available with or without an integrated carry handle. We are transitioning to exclusively offering models with a handle, as they enhance portability and convenience. As non-handled versions are depleted from stock, they will no longer be available. The option to select a handled or non-handled model is presented as a dropdown at the time of order. Please be aware that if the version you receive differs from the image shown, it is due to this transition. Rest assured, both versions maintain the same high standards of safety and durability.

Understanding Class 1 vs. Class 2 SRLs
Class 1 SRLs are intended for use when the anchorage point is at or above the worker’s dorsal D-ring. This configuration minimizes the fall distance and reduces arrest forces, making it suitable for environments where workers can secure their connection overhead. In contrast, Class 2 SRLs are used when the anchorage point is below the dorsal D-ring, which may result in a greater free fall distance but requires enhanced shock absorption. Choosing the correct SRL class is critical to ensure safety and compliance with fall protection standards.
Choose the Palmer Safety BEAST™ Series 30’ SRL with Small Hook for dependable fall protection in environments where an overhead anchorage point is available. Its robust construction and compliance with ANSI standards make it a reliable solution for workplace safety.
