Product Description

Notch Rope Runner Vertec

The Notch Rope Runner Vertec is a next-generation climbing and work positioning device designed for professional arborists. Developed by Notch in collaboration with Kevin Bingham, the Vertec builds on the legendary Rope Runner Pro with refined performance, smoother tending, and tool-free adjustability that keeps you efficient in the canopy.

With seven friction settings and intuitive modulation for both ascending and descending, the Rope Runner Vertec adapts easily to different ropes, climber preferences, and work positioning scenarios. Recent refinements based on arborist feedback improve consistency across more rope and carabiner setups, delivering controlled, predictable descents.

  • Tool-free, on-the-fly friction adjustment
  • Seven friction settings for dialing in the perfect feel
  • Outstanding performance for SRS climbing
  • Easy and efficient setup for MRS climbing
  • Midline attachable without slic pins
  • Integrated tending point for chest harness connection
  • Compatible with Notch Magneato chest harness system
  • Scannable-enabled for equipment tracking and traceability
  • Compatible with 11–12.9 mm climbing ropes
  • CE Certified, compliant with EU Regulation 2016/425
Pro Tip: For smoother self-tending and easier ascents, pair the Rope Runner Vertec with a chest harness and micro-tending system such as the Notch Magneato. Start with a mid-range friction setting and fine-tune on the fly as rope conditions or workload change.

Built from a durable aluminum alloy and stainless steel construction, the Rope Runner Vertec is engineered for daily professional use. Its streamlined, intuitive design delivers the smooth, controlled performance arborists expect—now with greater adjustability and efficiency in both ascent and descent.
