Product Description

Pewag AWI Grade 63 Stainless Master Link – Rated for Overhead Lifting

The Pewag AWI Stainless Master Link is engineered from Grade 63 stainless steel, making it one of the few stainless options fully rated for overhead lifting. Standard grades like 304 and 316 stainless are not suitable for use in chain slings, whereas Grade 63 provides lifting-rated strength plus excellent corrosion resistance.

Key Features

  • Grade 63 stainless – suitable and rated for overhead lifting (unlike 304/316)
  • 100% proof-tested and CE-marked for traceability
  • Meets DIN 5688-1 dimensional standards; works with CWP Connex and wire rope slings
  • High resistance to acids and caustics; ideal for marine, wastewater, chemical, and food environments
  • Use as a master or end link in single-, double-, or quad-leg assemblies
Important: Pewag’s Grade 63 stainless chain and fittings are engineered and rated for overhead lifting. Standard stainless grades such as 304 or 316 are not suitable for chain sling assemblies. However, some stainless shackles and hooks may be lifting-rated when specifically designed and marked by the manufacturer.
