Product Description
At first glimpse, you may think this is a long-haul type of puller, made for winching 25 feet at-a-time. BUT, that's not what this puller is designed for. This puller really shines in two different ways. The first is by giving you extra strap to secure your load (see pictures above), which can really come in handy. The load you're attempting to winch might not have a good tie-in or connection point, but with enough extra webbing, you can wrap the load and get enough bite to get the job done. The other common use in an object that might be a little further away than normal (perhaps an ATV that is stuck off the trail). Maybe you only need to winch it 3-4 feet, but you can't get closer than 20 feet with a decent anchor point for winching. Well, that's where the extra webbing that comes with this puller can once again come in handy.
What it Doesn't Do
One common misconception with this puller is that it has 25 feet of continuous winching potential, and unfortunately that's not the case. It can winch about 10 feet at one time before the drum reaches capacity. Again, the extra webbing is to help you secure your load, or reach a far away object and bring it close enough for retrieval, or to get unstuck. All in all it's a very handy tool, you just need to know its intended purpose.
