Product Description

Straightpoint SID – Self Indicating Dynamometer

The Straightpoint SID is a 14,300 lb (6.5 metric ton) dynamometer designed for applications where close-up, direct load monitoring is required. Unlike the Bluetooth-based BlueLink, the SID features a large built-in 1" (25 mm) LCD display that provides clear, real-time readings right at the device. Its advanced microprocessor electronics deliver fast response, high stability, and excellent resistance to electrical noise, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments.

The SID is engineered from aerospace-grade aluminum with a hard-anodized finish for durability and features a compact 6.14" (156 mm) eye-to-eye length to minimize headroom loss. It maintains a 6:1 safety factor and is on average 30% lighter than many competing link-style dynamometers. Shackles are sold separately; the recommended fit is the Crosby 7/8" G-2130 Bolt Type Anchor Shackle (6-1/2 ton WLL, #1019533).

Powered by a single 9V PP3 battery, the SID provides up to 80 hours of continuous operation. Features include selectable units (lbs, kg, kN, tonnes), 100 Hz peak hold, preset tare, overload counter, RS-485 serial output, and a 90 dB audible alarm for set-point overloads. Its IP65 / NEMA 4X rating ensures reliable performance even in challenging conditions.
