Crosby G-335 “Missing Link”® Replacement Links
The Crosby G-335 “Missing Link”® is a forged steel replacement link used to repair or connect lengths of chain in load securement and general rigging applications. Each link is quenched and tempered for strength and durability, featuring integral rivets that join the two halves for easy assembly in the field.

- Forged steel construction, quenched and tempered for maximum strength and reliability.
- Integral rivets join both halves—no interlocking lugs are used, providing a simple and compact repair design.
- All sizes include countersunk rivet holes for a flush finish after peening.
- Rivets must be peened after assembly to achieve full performance rating.
- 4:1 design factor for consistent load-bearing safety margin.
- Meets or exceeds the requirements of Federal Specification RR-C-271G, Type II (except contractor provisions).
- Selected sizes feature reinforced rivet holes for added durability in heavy-duty applications.
Special Notes
- 1/4" size: Rivets only – no interlocking lugs.
- 1" size: Reinforced rivet holes for extra strength.
Size & Capacity Range
- Available chain sizes: 1/4" through 1"
- Working Load Limit (WLL): 1,325 lbs to 15,500 lbs
- Not for overhead lifting or for use with Grade 80 or Grade 100 chain.
- Always ensure rivets are properly peened after assembly before putting into service.
- Inspect links and rivets prior to each use; do not reuse damaged or distorted components.
