Product Description

Chicago Shoulder Eye Bolts – Machine Thread, Extended Shank Lengths

These forged shoulder eye bolts from Chicago Hardware are engineered for demanding applications that require strength, reliability, and versatility. Made in the USA from drop-forged, heat-treated carbon steel, each eye bolt is supplied with a hot-dip galvanized finish for corrosion resistance. The shoulder pattern allows for angular lifting—provided the shoulder is fully seated against the load surface. This line features extended shank lengths to meet deeper rigging or anchoring needs.

  • Drop-forged and heat-treated carbon steel for superior strength
  • Hot-dip galvanized finish for corrosion resistance
  • Machine-threaded to UNC standards (National Course), threaded before galvanizing
  • Supplied with oversized-tapped hex nuts (nuts are imported)
  • Available in sizes from 1/4" x 2" up to 1" x 9"
  • Working Load Limits (WLL) range from 500 lbs to 10,000 lbs (based on straight vertical lift)
  • Manufactured in the USA by Chicago Hardware

Safety & Use Guidelines:

  • All load ratings are based on a 5:1 safety factor and tested under direct tension at a uniform rate
  • Angular lifts drastically reduce rated capacity—even with a shoulder pattern
  • Do not modify the forging or apply shock loads
  • Always ensure the shoulder is seated flush against the load surface before lifting
  • Special shank and thread lengths are available by special order

Note: These shoulder eye bolts are intended for static or dynamic loads in controlled applications. Rigging setups should be designed and evaluated by qualified personnel. For applications involving extreme angles, consider using swivels, hoist rings, or other rigging hardware designed for multi-directional load paths.
