Crosby S-279 & M-279 Machinery Eye Bolts – UNC and Metric Threaded
The Crosby S-279 and M-279 machinery eye bolts are premium-grade lifting points designed for in-line loading applications. These forged steel bolts are quenched and tempered, fatigue rated, and meet or exceed ASME B30.26 requirements for lifting hardware—including material traceability, proof load, ductility, and design factor.

- Forged steel construction, quenched and tempered
- Rated for in-line loading only (not for angular loading without reduction)
- Fatigue rated to 1.5x the Working Load Limit (WLL) at 20,000 cycles
- 5:1 design factor with a maximum proof load of 2x WLL
- Clearly marked for traceability and compliance with ASME B30.26
- Available with UNC (S-279) or Metric (M-279) threads

S-279 (UNC Thread)
- Thread sizes from 3/8" to 2-1/2"
- Working Load Limits from 1,550 lbs to 65,000 lbs
M-279 (Metric Thread)
- Thread sizes from M6 to M64
- Working Load Limits from 200 kg to 29,500 kg
