Product Description

Crosby® IPBG Barrier Grab

The Crosby® IPBG Barrier Grab provides a fast, hands-free, and secure solution for handling and positioning concrete road barriers. Built for strength and safety, this grab features a welded alloy steel construction with integrated polyurethane pads that protect the load surface and ensure a firm grip. It’s ideal for highway maintenance, construction, and precast yard operations requiring efficient lifting and relocation of barriers.

The IPBG is individually proof-tested to 2× its Working Load Limit (4 metric tons) and serialized for full traceability. Its adjustable jaw design accommodates barrier widths between 6" and 12", while the durable design meets EN 13155 and ASME B30.20 standards for below-the-hook lifting devices. Each unit ships with a test certificate and maintenance kit reference for long-term service support.

Key Features

  • Hands-free operation for safer, faster handling of concrete barriers.
  • 4 metric ton WLL with adjustable 6"–12" jaw range for various barrier sizes.
  • Welded alloy steel construction for strength and durability in demanding environments.
  • Polyurethane pads protect barrier surfaces (replacement kits available).
  • Individually proof-tested to 2× WLL with certification included.
  • Permanent markings identify WLL, jaw range, and serial number for easy inspection.
  • Operating temperature range: -4°F (-20°C) to +158°F (+70°C).
Important: The IPBG must be used only with properly rated lifting equipment and within its specified jaw and capacity range. Inspect polyurethane pads regularly and replace them when worn to maintain safe grip performance.
