Bishop Lifting Products Acquires All-Lifts, Inc. and Expands Their Reach into the Northeast

Houston, TX – August 1, 2022 – Bishop Lifting Products, a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners, announced today the completed acquisition of All-Lifts, Inc., headquartered in Albany, New York. All-Lifts was founded in 1966 and has been owned and operated by the Dewey family since 1978. Since then, the company has grown into a leading fabricator of wire rope slings, synthetic slings, alloy chain slings, and below-the-hook lifting devices. Following the closing, Brian Dewey will assume a leadership role at Bishop Lifting Products.

All-Lifts marks Bishop’s eighth acquisition since 2012 as part of Bishop’s ongoing strategy to build the company into the country’s leading provider of lifting products and services. Through scale and an expanding geographic footprint, Bishop will be able to deliver even greater service and lifting solutions to customers. Including All-Lifts, Bishop has 26 locations across the country offering a full line of lifting products and services. All-Lifts will continue to operate with its full workforce.

Altamont Capital Partners Acquires Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. from SBP Holdings

Palo Alto, CA – Altamont Capital Partners (Altamont) today completed its acquisition of Houston-based Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. (BLP) – a market-leading, value-added distributor of lifting products and solutions –from SBP Holdings. The transaction encompasses the entire BLP business.

Altamont’s approach is to invest in companies with strong business models and great teams that have opportunities for tremendous growth. Altamont has extensive experience partnering with middle-market companies like BLP, supporting management and providing resources to enable them to grow and succeed.

Bishop Lifting and SENAR announce Revolutionary AR Rigging Training

Augmented Reality Rigging Simulator

Houston, TX – – November 2, 2020 – Bishop Lifting Products (BLP) and SENAR are proud to announce the release of a revolutionary Augmented Reality (AR) Sling and Rigging Hardware Inspection and Lifting Training App for Mobile Devices.

Augmented Reality Rigging SimulatorIn January 2020, BLP partnered with SENAR to build the first Augmented Reality (AR) rigging simulator for Apple and Android devices. Now that over 1 billion devices are AR compatible, a phone or tablet can bring 3D immersive scenes to life in the classroom or at home.

The AR simulator offers interactive safety inspection training on both individual pieces of rigging equipment and on proper use and attachment of rigging to various load types. In one of the four scenarios, trainees walk around a life-size digital rack loaded with more than 2,000 lbs. of rigging equipment, and they must identify the 40 flaws that could cause an accident. In another scenario, trainees inspect previously assembled rigging attached to a load before giving their sign-off for lifting.

“Without AR it would be impossible to replicate those scenarios. They are too dangerous or too costly to reproduce and too heavy to carry when I travel! Now, everything is available on an iPad. We’re excited about the training tool and can’t wait to use it in our training classes” says Dan Rose, Training Manager at BLP.

Bishop Lifting Products has Finalized the Acquisition of Louisiana Crane & Electrical Services, Inc.

Houston, Tx – November 11, 2019 – Bishop Lifting Products is proud to announce the completed acquisition of Louisiana Crane & Electrical Services, Inc., headquartered in Broussard, Louisiana.

Louisiana Crane & Electrical Services Inc. is a major regional manufacturer of overhead cranes and mechanical handling solutions.  Louisiana Crane supplies, installs, services and maintains cranes and hoists throughout Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas and beyond.  Started over 20 years ago, Louisiana Crane & Electrical Services was founded on the principle that proper fabrication is the most important part of the crane system allowing them to be the leading crane fabricator in the Southeast.

Louisiana Crane offers 24 hour dispatching, preventative maintenance crane inspections and electrical services.
