Product Description

Crosby HR-125 Swivel Hoist Rings (UNC & Metric Threads)

The Crosby HR-125 series represents one of the industry’s most trusted lines of heavy-duty swivel hoist rings. Each unit is precision-engineered from quenched and tempered alloy steel, providing full Working Load Limit (WLL) use through a complete 180° pivot and 360° rotation. These hoist rings are proof tested individually to 2.5 times the WLL and meet or exceed all requirements of ASME B30.26 for identification, ductility, design factor, proof load, and temperature performance.

Thread Options & Capacities

  • UNC (Red Washer): WLLs from 800 lb to 100,000 lb, covering sizes from 5/16 in to 2-1/2 in. Each hoist ring includes an alloy socket head cap screw to ASTM A574 and is available in multiple bolt lengths for ferrous and soft-metal applications.
  • Metric (Silver Washer): WLLs from 350 kg to 13,500 kg, covering sizes from M12 × 1.75 to M48 × 5.00 threads.

Key Features

  • Manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel for superior strength and toughness.
  • Zinc-plated (yellow chromate) finish provides durable corrosion resistance.
  • Color-coded washers identify thread type — Red for UNC, Silver for Metric — for quick visual reference.
  • Top washer permanently stamped with WLL and torque values for traceable safety compliance.
  • All sizes proof tested individually and traceable by lot number.
  • Full 180° pivot and 360° swivel allows safe load alignment in any direction.
Important Safety Notes:
  • Never exceed the rated Working Load Limit.
  • Use only on ferrous or soft-metal (e.g., aluminum) workpieces — avoid long-term installation in aluminum due to corrosion risk.
  • Do not use spacers between the hoist ring flange and the mounting surface; ensure full contact with a 90° drilled and tapped hole.
  • Install using a calibrated torque wrench to the values stamped on each unit.
  • Inspect regularly — never use a hoist ring showing signs of wear, corrosion, or deformation.
  • Not for subsea or marine applications — for those environments, use Crosby HR-1000CT series only.

Compliance: Meets or exceeds ASME B30.26 standards and includes fatigue life, impact, and material traceability requirements not addressed in the base specification.
