Crosby G-209A Alloy Screw Pin Anchor Shackles – Grade 8 Performance for Critical Rigging
Crosby G-209A Alloy Screw Pin Anchor Shackles deliver the strength and reliability demanded in critical lifting, towing, and rigging applications. Forged from high-strength alloy steel and Quenched & Tempered, these shackles are engineered to meet the performance requirements of Grade 8 shackles, offering higher capacity and toughness than standard carbon models. Each shackle is permanently marked with its Working Load Limit and features Crosby’s signature Red Pin® for easy identification of genuine Crosby quality.
Features
- Forged Alloy Steel Construction: Bows and screw pins are forged from high-strength alloy and Quenched & Tempered for maximum performance.
- Grade 8 Performance: Meets the performance requirements of Grade 8 shackles, offering superior strength and ductility.
- Permanent Identification: Each shackle is marked with Working Load Limit (WLL) and Crosby name for traceability.
- Finish Options: Hot-dip galvanized for corrosion resistance; 3/8" size is mechanically galvanized.
- Temperature Rated: Safe for continuous service from −40°F (−40°C) to 400°F (204°C).
- Proof Tested and Certifiable: Can be furnished proof tested with certificates to ABS, DNV, Lloyds, or other standards upon request (additional charges may apply).
- Design Factor: 5:1. Proof load equals 2× the Working Load Limit (WLL).
- Standards Compliance: Meets or exceeds ASME B30.26 requirements for identification, ductility, design factor, proof load, and temperature. Also meets impact and traceability standards beyond ASME scope.
- Federal Specification: Conforms to RR-C-271H, Type IVA, Grade B, Class 2 (except contractor provisions).
- Genuine Crosby Quality: Look for the Red Pin® — the mark of authentic Crosby shackles.
