Product Description

The 1/2" ring choker functions much like a cat choker. The obvious difference is that there's a large, forged round ring in the eye of the choker. This serves as the primary connection point for the choker, and is sometimes preferred by professional loggers. That said, there's nothing keeping the novice user from using a ring choker, apart from the increased cost and additional handling weight. The forged rings are very durable, and they sit inside of a thimbled eye on the choker. The result is that the eye of the choker is reinforced, stronger than usual, and no longer a common wear point.

  • Made from 6x19 class wire rope, IWRC EIPS specification
  • End fittings are professionally swaged (aka pressed) according to industry standards
  • Forged round ring with a reinforced (thimbled) eye for durability and versatility
  • Place nub into choker bell which creates a choking action around the log
  • Ideal for skidding / moving logs
  • NOT FOR OVERHEAD LIFTING
